To begin a Phone session, click on the "Contact Live" button that is located next to the expert of your choice. For experts who are both Live Chat and Phone-enabled, you will then be asked which means of communication you prefer.
By clicking the ‘Phone’ button, you will receive the 800 number and session-specific access code with which to reach your expert. Expect a short delay after dialing the 800 number and entering the access code while we connect you with your expert.
After you are connected, you’ll have time to speak with your expert – at no cost – to get a sense of if they are the right person to meet your needs. Once you’re confident of their ability to assist you, simply press the star key on the lower left corner of your phone’s keypad, or click the ‘Hire’ button in the Session Window to begin a paid session with your expert.
While connected via Phone, you will also be able chat or transfer files via the Session Window at no additional cost. To chat with your expert, simply toggle over to the Chat tab on the upper left corner of the Session Window. If your expert has written you text in the Chat tab but you are in the Phone tab you will be notified on the bottom of your screen that a message is waiting for you in the other tab, and the Chat tab will blink, as well.
Note that closing the main Session Window will automatically end your entire session. Should you or your expert hang up the phone, a pop up will appear asking if you’d like to continue the session via Phone, Live Chat, or to end the session completely. If you would like to reconnect to your expert via Phone, you will be provided with the same 800 number and access code as before. To continue via Live Chat, simply switch to the Chat tab of the LivePerson Communication Center. If you’d like to end your session, click the ‘Quit’ button.
When you are ready to end a session while still connected to your expert, you can do so by simply clicking the "Quit Session" button on the Session Window.
