Strategy/Philosophy
Over the past 20-plus years I have enjoyed working with seasoned professionals, recent college graduates and graduate students who have needed assistance with job search correspondence and strategies. During that time I have found that many clients have unique schedules and want to work with a professional who is available when they are needed. By offering my services through Live Person I hope to help people during hours when others may not be available.
By carefully listening to clients describe their education, experience, skills and accomplishments (knowledge, skills and abilities), we are able to create robust resumes targeted to specific positions or types of positions. As the resume work is being completed, I also help clients develop information to help formulate responses to interview questions. Follow-up after the interview to determine the specific successful components of interviews then help with writing follow-up emails/letters.

Most recently, I have worked in collaboration with a top international consulting firm to lead a major communications effort impacting over 75,000 employees. Prior to that, I worked with college graduates and students needing job search coaching for:

mid-level managers seeking promotions
senior managers interested in changing careers internships
initial professional positions
I have also worked as a relocation/job search consultant for an outsouring firm. And I have served on Advisory Boards for major job search technology firms.
While serving a variety of candidates, I have also worked closely with hiring officials at all levels to help them connect with outstanding candidates for positions within their organizations. By working with non-profit organizations, public sector employers and private sector companies, I have learned terminology and recruiting strategies specific to a variety of industries. I have also developed an understanding of effective resumes, cover letters and interviewing skills.
