Name of the project: Motorola UK (Multimedia suite development including- video telephony,media capture,media player & browser, DRM for mobile)

Brief Project Description:
It includes the development of complete multimedia suit for a Motorola handset contaning the following applications-video telephony,media player,media browser,image viewer,media capture & DRM,on windows environment using symbian(v9.1) C++.
Contribution:
· Providing support to developer in the development of video telephony application.
· Being a part of Product Validation Team,validating H.324M protocol stack for video telephony.
· Testing video telephony application at all stages including unit testing,integration & system testing & IOT.
· Developing an offline utility in C to be used for generating logs from the corresponding binary file.
· Automating the component testing of the H.324M Stack using Perl Script.
· Doing the Static Code Analysis of the whole code using the Klocwork tool.
· Testing MDFs for MPEG4 Decoder,MPEG4 Encoder,JPEG Decoder,JPEG Encoder,MIDI Decoder,H264 Decoder and MP3 Decoder on EM1 board.

Brief Project Description:
Sagem MU2005 is a project to port Openwave V7.1 framework on the EMP’s OPA U100 platform for Sagem’s 3G mobile phone MU2005. Openwave V7.1 framework includes Browser, Messenger, Content Manager and other Multimedia applications. Openwave Phone Suite Version 7 has two principal porting components.One is a portable, device-independent layer called the framework. The framework is implemented in object code provided by Openwave. Another is a device-dependent abstraction layer called the device layer. The device layer implements framework functionality, including life cycle, display, networking,and storage.The scope of this project was to develop the device layer.Also on the other side this project uses OPA (Open Platform API), a component based API used for developing applications with Ericsson's mobile technology platforms.
Contribution: Major contribution includes:
· Testing Messaging and DRM.
· Writing new test cases.
· Updating sagem’s bug database.
· Updating test documents.
· Flashing Phones and getting logs using Platform Assistant.
· Finding memory leaks in the code using IBM Rational Purifier.
· Gaining knowledge about ‘openwave framework’.
