All of my experience has been personal contacts, and strangers. Empathy is not something that generally people are looking to hire you for. Although, it is much more accurate for the person who needs advice. If you can feel another persons pain you can find the source, and offer a hand to help them work through it. People are strong. Sometimes everyone just needs a hand, and a new outside perspective.
