I have A grades a GCSE level but have developed by skills from over a decade of reading and writing, rather than persuing an education at University or College. Much of the creativity of songwriting comes from inside and from the ability to tell a story.

My Expert Service

Having written for over decade, songwriting has formed an integral part of my creativity, providing a break from my longer works of fiction. I have had a love of music as long as I can remember, brought up on rock artists such as Meat Loaf and Bon Jovi before discovering excellent songwriters like Springsteen, Dylan and Billy Joel. Songwriting to me is like any other form of creative writing - telling a story.
I can write songs in any genre, and have a protfolio of almost 200 song lyrics. I currently have 4 completed albums of songs and have written songs by request for new groups and solo artists in my local area, and further afield via the internet.

Experience & Qualifications

Having written in a number of genres and many websites, I have developed a good understanding of the written language as well as the structuring of a song, regardless of genre.
Growing up with music from many generations, and many styles, has helped me keep an open mind about the songs I write. Songs do not have to be written in a certain format or structure. The work of Jim Steinman proved that verse, chorus, verse, chorus is not necessarily the way to make a song stand out. For that reason I let the song dictate where it wants to go and in that way I have created four very different albums of songs and continue to do so.
Of the songs I've written, more than a dozen have been recorded by young up and coming bands and solo artists while others have been performed in clubs and bars as part of preplanned setlists.
