My Expert Service

There is no "one" right way to being a successful actor. What works will be what works for you. I give actors a logical, no nonsense approach to acting. I instruct actors in Basic Technique to give you strong tools in a way of work that will instill confidence in any medium; film or theatre. A varied approach to emotional preparation that you can experiment with to find the tools that will work for you to strengthen the choices you make. Help actors choose appropriate audition monologues and scenes. Teach actors how to cold read and how to conduct themselves in the casting directors office during the audition process. Only 10% of the actors auditioning will receive a call-back or get the job. Learn how to make the strong choices that will put you into that 10% group.

Experience & Qualifications

I have been coaching actors for 25+ years with former students currently working on popular television shows and films. My work and my classes have been featured in documentary films on Korean and British television. I was the destination acting coach for a Belgium based, European acting competition and road show. The ten winners were flown to the U.S., given rented corvettes to drive Route 66 to Los Angeles where they were coached by me for three days, eight hours per day. I was the administrator and staff coach at the nationally known Tracy Roberts Actors Studio for 21 years. I produced "Octet", a festival of original one-act plays. Six got published. I produced the Jay Bernstein Scholarship Awards for four years. I co-produced the Henry Fonda Scholarship Awards with Karen Kramer (wife of Stanley Kramer). We were able to get 15 Academy Award winners, 6 Emmy winners, the mayor of Los Angeles and the governor of California to participate in this program. I directed "Class of '87" at the Century City Playhouse and "Opposites Detract" at the Coronet in Los Angeles. As an actor, I was a member of the resident company at Theatre 138 (director Ariel Ballif) in S.L.C. Due to the guest artist program I was in performance with Jack Albertson in "The Subject Was Roses", Hurd Hatfield in "Hamlet", "Medea" with Dame Judith Anderson, "Peter Pan" with Ruta Lee and William Shatner at the Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Have appeared on a daytime soap, had the lead in a cable series, film and TV parts. Member of comedy improv group "Shepherd's Flock" (director Tony Shepherd, Head of Talent at Arron Spelling) for five years. Accomplished stage actor who received wide critical acclaim for starring in the world premiere of "The Gift" with Bobbie Bresee. Currently co-writing a non-fiction book/screenplay.
