• Worked as Principle Developer at ScoopSpy LLC, Milpitas, USA ( Jan – Feb 2010 )
o Worked on introductory level mini projects for Information Retrieval using Apache’s Nutch, Hadoop and Lucene.
• Worked as Research Assistant at NUST-SEECS, Pakistan ( August – November 2009 )
o Worked on evaluation of parallel sorting techniques in Java.
• Worked as a Summer School participant at College of IT, UAE University ( July 2009 )
o Work included development of Oil reservoir simulator for the IBM cell processors. The main objective was to implement a modular code for the simulator and linear solver to produce outputs that can be visualized and help petroleum engineers in their work.
• Worked as a Research Visitor at University of Reading, UK ( Feb 2009 – June 2009 )
o Work included development of real world applications and implementation of numerical algorithms for MPJ Express, which is an implementation of Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard in Java.
o Major part of the project involved development of a parallel Finite Element Analysis code called Impact for MPJ Express.
• Worked as Research Assistant at NUST-SEECS, Pakistan ( Feb 2008 – Feb 2009 )
o Work included analysis of N-Body simulations, optimization of Gadget-2 for N-body simulations.
o Programming language used for the project was C along with MPI and OpenMP for adding nested parallelism to Gadget-2 code.
• Worked as a Remote Internee with Comtech, Sendai Japan ( June 2006 – August 2006 )
o Worked on Constella Platinum which has been developed for Autonomous Network Topology Discovery on Large multi-subnet networks
• Worked as a Teaching Assistant at NUST-SEECS ( Feb 2007 – June 2007 ).
o Assisted the Instructor for the course, Introduction to ICT and Programming fundamentals
• Attended Sun Solaris 10 Intermediate System Administration Training Workshop.
o 5 days workshop on S.A in Solaris 10.
• Developed e-shop.pk as a freelance project
o Used PHP, mySQL and OS Commerce framework for development.
