The topics in calculus are grouped under headings Limits and Continuity, Differentiation, Indefinite Integration, Definite integration and Differential Equations. Geometrically, the differentiation of a function at a point is slope of the tangent to the function at the point. The integration of the function is reverse process to differentiation. However it refers to sum of the values of the function calculated at each point in the given range.
Expertise in calculus is essential in solving problems in various branches of Physics especially in Newtonian Mechanics because the basic governing equation is mathematical formulation of second law of motion that is a differential equation.
Expertise in calculus is not acquired through solving more problems on paper but calls for a thinking process to transform new problem into a solved problem through a suitable transormation process. Through developing skill "Sarch of a suitable transormation to convert new problem in solved problem", the student acquires high level of confidence to deal any problem in calculus.
I am teaching this branch of Mathematics to the students of all levels from school to post-graduate since 1980.
