Experience & Qualifications
|
|
I have been working with individuals, couples, families and groups as a counselor/therapist for over 30 years. I have worked with diverse populations, including members of the LGBT community. I have experience in assisting with issues associated with children and adolescents. I have a strong background in working with those suffering from mental health issues as well as their families. I have also counseled survivors of domestic violence and their children and have worked with those who are perpetrators of violence. I continue to provide counseling to those in mental health and correctional settings. My professional background, experience and education has helped me to recognize the importance of helping people to find their own strengths in the midst of overwhelming pain, to learn how to take on the challenges of life when one feels like all is lost and their only option is to give up, to learn and use new skills critical in our personal lives and relationships, and to find hope and the will power to continue as we heal and live our life journey more fully.
