This is a profile for anyone who is going through "hard times" and confuse whether to choose telecom or not.
I have more than 5 year of expertise in field of telecommunication. Worked in Airtel for 1 year and currently working with COLT (UK based MNC in telecom sector) from last 4 years. I have worked on equipments of various vendors like Lucent , Marconi , ECI , Atrica , Nortel and have sound knowledge of SDH , Ethernet based services .
Current Job Responsibility:
Network Planning: -
•Providing Data-Transmission and Voice Solutions to customers based on their requirements and Business Models.
•Designing and configuring the deployment model of the solutions accepted by the customer on various platforms like SDH/EoSDH/PDH/DSL-ATM over the Pan European COLT network.
•Responsible for providing support to our European Field Engineers and Net Care team on real time
basis so as to get the projects and services delivered to our customers within the defined SLA’s.
Project Handling:-
Working on a Project for COLT TELECOM (CH) in Zurich for the Planning and Implementation of the ULL Migration Project being carried out in conjunction with the local telecom provider Swiss COM
•My role in this area involves planning of functional concept and system design. It involves detailed Technical Analysis of the system requirements, analysis of inputs and proposals from various teams for determining cost effective and technically efficient solutions.
•It also involves defining and achieving SLA’s and OLA’s for achieving KPI’s set for the team and as an individual
•Responsible for providing an insight to the management regarding team activities, conformance and non- conformance to OLA’s.
•Responsible for setting up conference calls on weekly or bi-monthly basis with our EU counterparts to define the problem areas and to work for driving improvement initiatives.
Transitions Handling:-
Involved in transition of DSL, IP, Voice and Bandwidth related services to India (2 Months) in COLT Switzerland (Zurich)
•Transition Management involves attending on site trainings for better understanding of the local network so as to facilitate a smooth transition of processes to India.
•Working in close conjunction with the various teams like Bandwidth Delivery, Voice delivery, DSL, IP
Delivery and Customer Operations in Europe and India
•Defining OLA’s for maintaining the KPI’s set for the team once the documentation of the handover is done
•Imparting training for operation, maintenance and monitoring to the SM Team in India.
