My Expert Service

With hundreds of brands, models and features coming out every single day, deciding which digital camera to buy is often a frustrating experience. With a few simple questions I can understand your needs, and help you find the perfect camera, best suited to YOUR needs and budget.

Initial communication is free, whether you choose to communicate via chat, phone or email, and you will not be charged anything unless you agree to "hire" me during our session. Give it a try - it's risk free!

Why pay for my advice?

Consider the alternatives:

You can enter any photography store and ask the sales rep to recommend a camera. Do you really trust the guy? Did he take the time to carefully listen to you and truly understand your unique needs? Is he professional and knowledgeable enough? What if the camera that is most suitable for you is not being sold in that store? When he recommends a specific model, does he have YOUR best interest in mind, or the store's?

What about forums (message boards)?
Of course, if you find the right forum and post a question, you're likely to get one or more answers. However, if you're not a photographer then you probably don't know which forums to visit. Search the web, and you'll find hundreds of forums on photography. Which one is best? Where do the experts hang around?
Next, let's say you found the right forum and posted your question. When the answers start coming in, how can you tell if they're reliable? how many junk answers will you receive until you get a serious one? And most importantly, will the experts in the forum really take the time and give you their full attention?

Finally, if you have a friend or a family member who's into photography, you're likely to turn to them for advice. Can you be sure the advice they give you is reliable? Do you feel comfortable asking them all of your questions, knowing you're "wasting" their time? Can you ask them to inquire or read about models they have not heard about or have no experience with?

That's why I think this service is valuable - once we agree on a fee (which will usually be only a small fraction of the price you are going to pay for that camera you're planning to buy), I will patiently listen to you, understand your needs and desires, and give you my full attention. Since I have done this before, you can view my client ratings, look at my profile and at my portfolio, and get an impression of the quality of my work. Most important - I'm not affiliated with any particular brand or store, and my advice is completely unbiased.

I'm a photography maven. Let me be your YOUR personal maven, and I promise you'll make a better, more educated buying decision - one you'll feel comfortable with.

Here are some other things I can help you with:

Fix or improve existing photos - send me a photo that is old, scratched, or just badly photographed, and I'll make it look better than the original. Special rates for Kasamba experts who want to improve their profile photo (ask me about it).

Take better pictures - I have a method for teaching the most important things you need to know to take pictures like a pro, and it would only take you a few minutes to learn. Let me show you how.
Interested in HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography? I can teach you how to create pictures such as this one:

It'll be the E510. After talking with you, reading the reviews and thinking it all over, that's the one. I appreciate the information and answers you have provided, it helped a lot in making my decision. I will send you a few photos when I get it, which won't be until after the first of the year. And then I need to learn how to use it! So, it may be a few months lol. Thanks again -Ken
