I am a Christian RN with >30 years experience. I want to be your advocate to help resolve any questions you might have regarding diagnosis,medications, treatment plan, home-health arrangements, communication problems you might be having with your doctor, and many other issues. I can help you to understand the medical terminology regarding your (or a significant other's) medical problem. I can suggest pro-active ways to obtain the medical attention you seek, as well as steer you to resources pertinent to your condition. I have been on the professional side of medicine as well as the patient side of medicine: my husband died of a brain-tumor, and I cared for him at home (with tremendous family support!) while he was in a comatose state for 6 months prior to his passing. I have a chronic condition that keeps me from physically practicing clinical nursing anymore... and I miss it! But, I have a lot to offer, and I'd love the opportunity to share some of the wisdom I've gained through the years.

Experience & Qualifications

I have worked extensively in ICU and surgical areas, including Med/Surg ICU, Trauma, Neuro, Burn units; Endoscopy manager (GI unit); assistant director of Surgery, clinical leader in peri-operative areas, home-health nursing. I have also worked as a Case-Manger, managing all aspects of care for total-joint replacement patients, including lectures on this subject. I have helped several patients with guided imagery for use with chemotherapy/radiation treatments. I do not have OB-GYN or pediatric experience.
