I used to work at a Apple & a Studio Teched at the University of Minnesota as a Studio Tech. Here I helped students with some unthought of Final Cut trouble shooting. I have also edited on but not an expert on other platforms such as Premiere Pro, After Effects. I have done animation (simple) in Final Cut by drawing vectors in Illustrator.
So I have seen and heard it all and played with many cameras including the SONY XDCAMS which don't have tapes or Super 8 film.
