Hi, I am Lisa G. Rorman, MEd, MDR, JD and PhD (ABD). I am also a mother of three including my 17 year old daughter with autism. She was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disabilities, non-specific) at age 3 and entered early childhood special education. She was diagnosed with autism and LKS (Landau-Kleffner Syndrome) when she was 4 1/2. When she had grand-mal seizures at age 5. I went back to school to learn how to help her learn and advocate for her rights. I have a BS in Business Administration, a Master of Special Education, and am doing my dissertation for my PhD all from UNLV. I also have a dual law (JD) and Master of Dispute Resolution (MDR) from Pepperdine University School of Law. I have written my first children's book, "Freddy the Fire Hydrant Finds His Purpose" and am working on other books as well. I also have a 15 year old daughter with trichitollimania (pulling hair), social axiety and is recovering from selective mutism. My 10 year old son was one month premature and I had him during my Master of Special Ed program so I learned all about prematurity, special needs infants and massage for infants. I have experience working as a Behavior Technician with children with autism and taught Early Childhood Special Education.

Graduate Assistant to Special Education professors for 4 years and taught undergraduate early childhood curriculum classes. Taught early childhood special education at preschools. Special education advocate and parent trainer. Present at special education conferences on parent advocacy and autism intervention. Published children's author. Small claims court mediator during Pepperdine degrees in California. I have also worked in marketing in both the hospital and toy industries.
