Depending on the type of issue you present, I will use and combine a variety of approaches that can help you overcome a problematic situation.
My Approaches:
Transactional Analysis: The term of "transaction" is used as a reference to the communication exchange between the client and the counselor. The quality of our communication has a crucial role in the effectiveness of the results. As such, I seek to analyze from what perspective you present your problems in order to adjust my own in a way to create a healthy interaction.
Psychodynamic Approach: This approach aims to assist the individual in understanding the unconscious or subconscious roots of their issues. By discovering the causes of our problems, we can acknowledge and intervene on the discomforting aspects of our situations. The Psychodynamic approach requires a thorough reflection and introspection on your part. By gaining this insight, we can proceed to develop efficient strategies for change.
Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques: Sometimes certain behaviors become patterns after repeating them in similar conjunctures. These behavioral patterns might cause us discomfort at one point and the purpose of this type of approach is to replace them with healthy, constructive behaviors. Oftentimes our thoughts influence our emotions, and the role of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy is to help us use those thoughts that create positive emotions, and to replace those that cause us discomfort.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: This type of therapy is very future-oriented and aims to help you develop effective strategies, solutions and plans to your problems. By using this approach, we focus on what you want to achieve and construct a clear image of your preferred future. Through specific questions, I endeavor to explore your resources and discover, together with you, how they can be used to achieve your goals.
Occupational and Work Psychology: A good career, professional growth and advancement represent an important part of our lives, because they influence the way we perceive ourselves, our self-esteem, motivation, stress level and relationships. I can assist you through a variety of career-related issues, from improving your CV to career changes.
