Experience & Qualifications

Here is an exerpt from my soon to be released publication-"The Art Of Blowing The Deal" As a young lad, I would sell anything I could get my hands on. If I had a pig it would cost you 6 bits, if it danced the jig it cost you twice. I would have carnivals in the back yard, where the neighborhood gang would stop and pay a few coins to do the very same things that they could do in thier own back yards. The difference was sales and marketing. I knew it even then. Sales is all about painting a picture, and convincing others that they were truly missing out on something if they were not included in the landscape. The definition of a sale is "when the percieved value exceeds the asking price." At that very moment, you have a sale. The trick is recognizing when that very moment is upon you, and not continuing on, until you buy your product back from the prospect. The single biggest mistake that salespeople make is-NOT KNOWING WHEN TO SHUT UP, AND BEGIN WRITING THE ORDER!! My professional career began when I received my honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy. I came home to Western PA and went to work for an Ambulance Service. Not exactly sales, but then again, there had to be something we could sell. Low and behold, someone came up with the Ambulance Plan. Lets just say, I sold them. By my mid 20's I was in high ticket retail sales. The car business, and I loved it. By 30 I was the General Manager of a stand alone new car franchise, that consistently led the nation in brand marketing and sales. Within 3 years I was running 3 multi-franchise dealerships, with a great deal of success. When I felt it was time for a break, I opend my own mortgage brokerage firm. It started as a 2 man operation, and eventually evolved into a business with annual revenues in excess of $27million, and more than 50 full time employees. While conferring with the Chairman of the company that marketed the worlds most popular anti-theft device about a cash injection into my company, I was offered a job. I left 3 weeks later to take the position of President/CEO of a manufacturing plant responsible for manufacture and distribution of defense products. After my first 18 months at the helm, the corporate revenues had increased by more than 400%. Our little company grew from a small presence in the USA, to one of the largest distributors of law enforcemnent, military, and private sector defense products in the world. After the successful sale of the company to our nearest competitor, I have settled into the consulting business. I would like to offer to you these services that I charge many thousands of dollars for in the national and international marketplace, for just a few bucks. All you have to do is ask.
