I am an RN with 21+ years experience in many areas of healthcare.
My training was in the world renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
In addition to my years of management experience, are years of "hands on" direct patient care.
I have experience as both a Director of Nurses & Assistant Director of Nurses both in the home health field & in long term care & I am able to assist you in making the difficult decision regarding nursing home placement versus care in the home setting & what it takes to give adequate care to someone in your home. Questions related to nursing home abuse or neglect issues will be answered honestly, in addition to information about steps you can take to help your loved one recieve the best care available. There is help with options available for the terminally ill also.
I have experience related to drug/alcohol dependency & mental health issues if that is your need.
My belief is that patients & familes need to have their questions answered in a language that they can understand rather than the "foriegn language" of medical terminology which overwhelms & intimidates most people.
Of all the areas of nursing in which I have been involved, the one that has been the most rewarding, is giving people the information they need to help themselves, loved ones & those close to them. I can truly say that each & every person that I have had in my care, has in some way touched my life.

-Unit manager of Intermediate Care unit in large hospital.
