Within each organization, project activity is listed in chronological order starting with the most recent projects. Independent Consultant, July 2004 to Present Time, incorporated as Data Warehouse Builders Ltd., doing business as Elegant Solutions Data Warehousing Consultant at Scotiabank, Toronto July 2007 to April 2008 -- As Systems Architect & Business Analyst, Data Warehousing, supported the implementation of a Data Mart for a new mortgage system. Successfully led the Data Warehousing group through its first Technology Project Review process with a complete set of Application Development Life Cycle documents. Consulting Partner at Resolver Inc. February 2006 - April 2007 Re-configured Resolver's Risk Management Software to add a module that provides evidence of compliance to regulations such as The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and Canada's Bill 198. Provided training and consulting to Resolver's clients. To do this, the full SOX process had to be mapped to their software, from assessing risks, identifying key controls, branching through the Application Controls and General Computer Controls, identifying sampling sizes and testing procedure scenarios, stepping through change management processes then sustaining the process through "baselining", rationalizing and automating controls. The experience gained to be able to do the above was at TELUS Mobility in the next section below. Consultant, Sarbanes-Oxley at TELUS Mobility (Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; TU; Telecommunications industry) April 2005 - December 2005 Represented TELUS Mobility's IT Division on the TELUS Sarbanes-Oxley project, providing leadership, direction and management support for the TELUS compliance initiative. The SOX audit was underway when the assignment started. A review of work completed and the likelihood of it being acceptable was performed, a critique was provided to Management, Management brought in their External Auditors for comment on the review, were told it was accurate. Because of the quality and completeness of the review, a substantial amount of additional work was obtained from the consulting firm completing the review at no additional cost. Acting Director, Data Warehousing at TELUS Mobility (Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; TU; Telecommunications industry) July 2004 - March 2005 Normalized Data Warehousing practices, project-managed and completed a major Data Warehousing Project, searched for and hired an individual to become the Director, Data Warehousing, and integrated him into the position.
