I have not gotten any certificate of advanced achievement in th English for an English school in Brazil. I have been saving money to take the CPE, but I still haven't got the whole amount of money for the subscription. I agree that diplomes and certificates are important, but I try to think of them as just a set of important pieces of paper people rely on to say they have the knowledge it refers to. In practice, knowledge hasn't all to do with certificates and diplomas. Knowledge is something that comes with time and experience. I have trained people to take the CPE while I haven't taken it myself. Not because I haven't been interested in, but because of the reason herein mentioned.

Once I find the errors in your composition, I will follow a different approach to correcting them. It is not quite a correction because I will not do it myself. You will. By correcting it, your brain will have to think not only about the mistake, but also about what the best way out would be. The time spent on this sort of task makes you more familiar with your mistake in a way that you will hardly make it again. Not only the familiarization and neither the correction itself, but the input of data you will be gaining will be extremely important for your writing foundation. Hence, you will be writing wealthier essays later on.

I have taught English at Yázigi and CNA, all of which are English schools in Brazil. I have worked straight with foreigners as a free-lance touristic guide in Copacabana - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. I have given support to my colleagues on the English language, in addition to being making a survey on L2 acquisition. I have had contact with many native English speakers throughout the years I have studied the English language. I have helped them to improve their writing as well as they have given me hints on language in use, which is what lacks on most non-native English speakers.
