Do not underestimate my skill as an editor due to the unusual subject of my degree. An English degree is not the only degree that teaches students the critical thinking skills required for strong writing and editing. My academic career taught me these valuable skills and my personal enjoyment of literature had contributed to a general working knowledge of creative writing. I have been offered jobs and promotion based largely on my own writing skills and can help dramatically improve professional documents, including resumes.
