The primary focus of my practice is to help troubled relationships get healthy. All too often couples give up because they think there is no hope left for their relationship. I help couples find that hope in two ways: 1) by teaching the skills necessary to prepare for the challenges of future through pre-marital counseling, or 2) by teaching them to repair the hurts of the past through marriage counseling.

Experience & Qualifications

For over 30 years I served on staff in churches where I counseled youth and adults who were dealing with questions related to dating, parenting, discipline, self-esteem, grief and spiritual issues. I'm a Christian and an ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Church. When I stopped working on staff in churches I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology and for more than 15 years gained valuable experience in Public Mental Health counseling clients with the full spectrum of mental illnesses including psychosis, depression, anxiety, anger and domestic violence. While working in the Public Mental Health system, I developed the Domestic Violence Intervention program that is currently in use in that facility. I am a charter member of the Domestic Violence Task Force in my county. Through this organization I work to raise awareness and to prevent the spread of all forms of abuse in relationships. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, a National Certified Counselor, a member of the Georgia Licensed Professional Counselors Association, and a certified Prepare / Enrich Counselor.

I don't think this expert was very good. I'm sure he's a good person, but it seemed to take him a rather long time to grasp a deep understanding of what I was talking about.
