My interest in audio production began 7 years ago before the age of sixteen. I chose to attend ChARTer-tech High School in Somers Point specifically because of my blossoming interest in recording. Charter Tech challenges its students with longer school days, and school years in order to balance academics with intensive production classes taught by top professionals in the industry. School day lessons led to professional project experience: I worked Mindshare Ventures Expos at Madison Square Garden, I was a post-production engineer on an independent film called Who Goes There. Through Lew London, a teacher at ChARTer~Tech I was one of a small group to see the pre-released Pro Tools version 6. I was the recording engineer for the live television performances of the Bubba Mac Blues Band. All of these things took place before I was nineteen years old
With ChARTer~Tech as my spring board introduction to production work, I sought a post secondary school that would focus my newly acquired experience and hone it efficiently. Full Sail offered me that opportunity. A professional training ground, emulating a high pressure/ work ethic environment open 24/7. My average school day was 10 hours with long evenings spent in the production labs recording, mixing, and editing. I may have earned what the educational system deems an Associates degree; however, my experience level surpasses that of the average candidate who I am vying against for this important opportunity.
After my post secondary education I completed an internship at Rose Lane studio in southern New Jersey. Their I worked with cutting edge digital and analog equipment. I worked in very high pressure situations and eventually became extremely proficient in the studio operation. In September 2006 I completed an internship at the Blackbird Studio, considered to be the greatest recording studio in the world by many. Their I worked along side clients such as Keith Urban, Martina McBride, and John Rich with the best equipment that money can buy. The training that I receive from Blackbird makes me more than capable to operate any recording studio.
For the past year I have been an intern at Dark Horse Recording. At Dark Horse I have honed my skills to the point that I believe I can hold my own with the best of the best assistant engineers in the industry. The Dark Horse internship program is second to none in Nashville.
I am proficient in Macintosh and Windows based platforms. I have used Pro Tools for the past 7 years since version 4.8 before the 001 was released. I have extensive experience with Amek, Neve, Trident, SSL, And API consoles, as well as Neve Flying Faders,SSL Ultamation, and AMEK Supertrue automation systems.
