The number of Americans with diabetes is growing. The baby boomers are the first generation that may actually watch their children die from heart and fatty liver disease both caused by uncontrolled diabetes and obesity.
That is the bad news, the good news is we can change it. The insurance companies do not provide enough education and don't allow patients to have a nutritional consult unless they actually have diabetes so most Americans do not know the secrets of preventing diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Most people want to be the best they can be but are clueless on how to make it happen without spending megabucks or getting the right contacts so that is how I can help.

I was a manager of a Cardiac/Intensive care unit. I worked in a cardiovascular practice. I worked with patients in a nationally accredited diabetic education center. I am
now working with a physician in a
family practice and love teaching patients how to take control of their lives. It is all about the mind/body connection. I am
board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I
belong to the Nurse Practitioner
Association of NYS. I also belong
to the American Association of
Diabetic Educators.
