QMHP- Qualified Mental Health Professional, MA- Master's degree in Counseling, BS- Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, option in Early Childhood Education, minor in Psychology. Courses and certificates in play therapy, family counseling, and parent education. I am working towards licensure in professional counseling in the state of Oregon. I plan on completing my license by 2009.

I am strength-based so I encourage people to see what they are doing right. I like to help people see their options and give them hope that things can get better. I taught parent education at the local community college for several years. I also taught college students and parents in two different college/University based child development labs. I have worked as a Child and Family Therapist at a day treatment center. At the day treatment center I worked with children in foster care, children struggling with their parents' divorces, attachment issues, PTSD, Autism, ADHD,anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, and many other childhood disorders. I was a Mental Health Case Manager for a county program where I helped people with chronic mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. I have worked with people of all ages, counseling them and offering them hope. I have worked as a Child and Family Advisor with families that experienced sexual and physical abuse. I have worked with families from a variety of backgrounds, races, and religions. Currently I have a private counseling practice specializing in play therapy, and counseling children and families.
