With over 20 years of IT experience I have been professionally involved in almost every aspect of Programming, Networking, and Electronics design on a variety of software and hardware products/projects.
I was directly involved in the development of Ventura (now known as Corel Ventura) Desktop Publishing software versions 3 & 4 while the software was being developed by Xerox.
I have over seven (7) years experience as a network administrator for an ISP where I was in charge of all aspects of network installation, operation, and security. During that time I gained extensive experience in:
- Cisco router configuration. (Including the configuration of Access Control Lists, Tunnels and more.)
- TCP/IP software development and network security on Linux/Unix and Windows Platforms.
- Installation of MYSQL, Sendmail, Apache, Squid Proxy, and more (Including compiling and configuration of customized versions.)
I designed, developed, and implementated a low cost Point to Point Wireless VPN in 1999. The final implementation provided 512-bit encryption and 50% more data capacity than existing off the shelf wireless technologies over a distance of 1 mile at a cost of less than $1000.
As a consultant, I have provided Network administration and custom software design services for a variety of companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies such as Tidewater Marine to e-commerce companies like CandyDirect. Let my experience work for you.
