Sometimes you become an expert about something by accident. That certainly was my case!
My personal experience with interstitial cystitis and my professional expertise as a registered dietitian have been recognized worldwide.
I wrote my first book for IC patients in 2005. Confident Choices: Customizing the Interstitial Cystitis Diet provided valuable information about diet, stress management, and exercise, quickly becoming a popular resource for interstitial patients around the world.
Confident Choices: A Cookbook for Interstitial Cystitis and Overactive Bladder is the long anticipated companion of that first book.
I have been active in the interstitial cystitis community for over ten years providing dietary counseling to individuals and speaking at IC Support Groups around the country.
I volunteer as a lead moderator for the Interstitial Cystitis Network, write the "Everything Diet and IC" column for the Interstitial Cystitis Association's monthly e-newsletter (Cafe ICA) and publish the Confident Choices Newsletter.
