I have taken care of patients in almost every setting while in Home Health and have found that patient teaching is a real issue for a lot of people. I have found that patients have a hard time asking their busy doctor about their illnesses and medications. I am very familiar with all IV access devices, ie. mediports, Hickmans, and PICC lines, etc.

I have been a ICU nurse for nearly ten years and a Home Health nurse for 8 years. I have recently was able to transfer to ER. I am qualified to insert peripheral PICC lines, both in the home and the hospital. Home Cardiac Rehab. I am able to read cardiac strips and EKG's. I am certified in Basic CPR, ACLS (Acute cardiac life saving) and PALS (pediatric acute life saving)
