The mixture of various disciplines gained throughout my career created a rare combination of basic biz process knowledge & cutting edge technical skills that are not only innovative but have the insight that only comes from hands-on experience in several stages of development …from start to finish. Who could produce the best, most robust application to automate a process, a regular programmer or one who also worked on the assembly line, or in the lab cultivating the tissues used to create the lifesaving enzyme? The answer is obvious, all I ask is the chance to see if I could be an asset to your company. I’m not looking for a “job”. I’ve had enough of those and like the rest of the state I’m still looking for the “BIG ONE”. A connection resulting in mutual benefit is what I seek. Being allowed to do what I’m hired to do would be nice for a change. If I’m honest about my abilities, skills and experience, I should be able expect the same when hired. Of course money is a vital part of the equation but it’s not the only consideration, not even the top one. The projects under this vary in scope and length of time. As a technical consultant (programmer) I’ve worked under short term contract, contract-to-hire, to full time employment. I meet with potential clients to discuss the technical needs of their business. I describe in detail the services my firm offers and explain how my expertise as well as those of my associate consultants would be used to make their plans a reality. Getting the business sometimes requires an RFP and rarely a ROI report, which I also provide. If given the assignment, I complete the technical work that's within my skill set, assign tasks to associates according to their availability and negotiate with sub contractors and third party service providers for the rest of the project assigned to us. I have a number of associates with whom I’ve worked for years. Over the years they have proven themselves by delivering quality work up to specs and on time. To ensure that we meet timelines and stay within budget I use various accounting applications like Microsoft Project 2000. Most of my experience is on Windows platforms but do know others (Unix, Sun Solaris) as well.
The following is a list of companies & job titles I’ve had (W-2, 1099) or been assigned to most recently. The duties varied slightly for each but covered both Web Development & Windows console applications, enhancements and system configuration. These applications handled the day to day running of the business, balancing ledgers, billing (certified medical Billing) to recording processes in RDMS or mission critical transactions.
