My Expert Service

Despite the abundance of information available on the Internet and in books, there are many frustrated individuals who can't seem to find practical solutions to the recurring and frustrating problems that arise every day with these conditions. What issues could a LivePerson consultation clarify for me? • I had a concussion about a year ago and sometimes I still feel confused and distractable. What’s going on? • Am I too young to be showing signs of Alzheimer’s disease? Why am I so forgetful? • I think I may have had ADHD as a child. How would that affect me now, as an adult? • My son’s doctor says he shows signs of Asperger’s syndrome, and his teachers say he has Nonverbal Learning Disability. Who’s right, and what’s the difference? A brief consultation can answer these types of questions and point you in the direction of the types of providers in your area who can provide treatment or appropriate diagnostic work-ups.

Experience & Qualifications

In private practice since 1999, one of my passions is the translation of neuropsychological and brain research to functional and understandable terms which patients and families and organizations can quickly put to use to solve real problems. My research interests include cultural competency in the clinical interview and the impact of traumatic brain injury on social and vocational functioning. A member of the American Psychological Association and the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Association, I earned my doctorate at the University of Alabama and completed an internship program in neuropsychology at Tulane University Medical Center, New Orleans, LA. I speak to professionals across the country with PESI, LLC, on the topics of "ADHD and Processing Disorders" as well as "Risk Assessment." I will be speaking in several Australian cities in 2011 with TATRA Corporate & Allied Health Training. I have provided trainings locally to the staff of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital.
