Journeyman Tilesetter. Tile, Terrazzo and Marble Association of Alberta (TTMAA) Inspector, Provincial Apprenticeship Instructor, Schluter-Systems "Elite Tile Contractor"

My Expert Service

Let me first say that I do not approve of "experts" whose knowledge is broad-based in other fields. Tile is an ever-changing, complex field that requires specialization. This is simply not viable if they also claim to be an expert in Carpentry, Plumbing or General Contracting. Look for a professional who only deals with tile and natural stone. You'll get the best answers to your problems here. I provide tile inspection services from before the project starts to after it's been completed.

I install all types of tile and stone, with particular emphasis on the use of Schluter-Systems products. Their products solve many problems inherent in today's methods and few tile professionals are aware these methods and products exist.

I instruct people ranging from students in weekend-long Continuing Education programs to those who are enrolled in four-year Government Tilesetting Apprenticeship studies or who have achieved Journeyman Tilesetter certification.

Experience & Qualifications

I have been tilesetting for over 20 years and am versed in all aspects of the tile and natural stone industry.

I have worked world-wide installing tile, learning new methods and gaining knowledge in different settings. I love my work and do not feel the need to diversify into other trades. This is how I maintain the high quality of my work. I am currently the Provincial Apprenticeship Instructor for the Province of Alberta (Canada) and write the course curriculum for its four-year program.

I have been a tile inspector for the TTMAA and other organizations for over ten years.

I have also attended the University of Victoria's Biochemistry Program.

I am currently writing a book for the tile industry titled, "Fair and Square: A Guide to Success in the Tile Industry". Currently the Chief Inspector, Elite Tilesetter and Instructor for www.tile-experts.com
