My Expert Service

Do You Want To Walk And Run Without Pain?

Are You New To Running And In Need Of Some Advice?

My name is Dean Teitelbaum. I’m a physical therapist with a passion for running.

I have been practicing as a licensed physical therapist since 2000. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Daemen College in 2000 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College in 2006.

I own my own physical therapy practice called Stride To Health: Optimum Health and Running Center, located in Simsbury, CT. Our clinic specializes in running and lower extremity injuries, running coaching, and “healthy” running nutrition.

If you are currently dealing with pain or a particular injury, I’m more than happy to send you on the right path to feeling great.

Common running injuries I deal with are:

  • Plantar Fasciits (Heel Pain)
  • Knee Pain
  • Shin Splints
  • Patello-femoral Syndrome
  • Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITB Syndrome)
  • Hip Pain
  • Back Pain
  • Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Pain

I love helping those who are fairly new to running and looking for advice. If you’re looking to run your first 5K or even a marathon, I can help guide you and ensure that you prevent the typical running injuries and learn how to run in a “healthy” way.

If you’re looking to run fast and win races, keep looking, because I can’t help you with that (Well I could…but I don’t believe that running fast is “healthy”). I specialize in helping you enjoy running by running at a certain “fat-burning” pace that will minimize your chances for injury and make running more enjoyable.

I’ll tell you all of the “do’s and don’ts” of running and give you tools you need to accomplish your goals. Whether you’re running for weight loss, dealing with an injury, or you’re preparing for your first race, you’re in good hands.

Contact me today. I look forward to helping you get healthy!
