I have participated in several innovative grant programs focusing on delivery of math concepts. Lower performing students who use my concepts in a 10 month window have grown 3 to 4 years. Higher performing students see their accuracy go up while reducing the actual amount of time needed to complete their task at hand. I use a wide variety of media to reinforce math concepts even a deck of cards has multiple uses.

I have been teaching on a middle school and high school level for the past 20+ years. I am known for taking under-performing students and helping them achieve success when they had given up on themselves. In the 20 years I have taught high school math, principals hire me rather than teachers within their district due to the positive difference I make in students lives. I take students who HATE math and actual help them be willing to take on math challenges. I have even transformed some into loving math. I like the challenge of helping students see that they really can do the work. I also like the opportunities I have had to show parents that they really do know a lot more math then what they are willing to give themselves credit.
