I have a broad background in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the lungs. Some of the more common conditions are COPD/Emphysema, asthma, lung cancer, pneumonia, tuberculosis, shortness of breath, sarcoidosis, and pulmonary fibrosis. Medicine is a constantly changing field and it's important to stay abreast of the most important lung disease areas. I'm well-versed with the majority of conditions and will frequently refer to reference literature to stay current with new changes in the practice of medicine. Also, I'm one of a small number of physicians who is quadruple board-certified.

I spent five years in Brooklyn, NY at Coney Island Hospital before moving to Florida, where I have been in private practice since 1985. I am affiliated with Florida Hospital, which for the last six years has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of "America's Best Hospitals."

My answer from Dr. Bassetti was very clear and thorough. He explained everything in understandable detail and we now have a place to go from here. I would hire him again and if I lived in his area would go to see him as a regular patient. Thank you Dr. Bassetti!!

Very knowledgable, gave me new insight and information re: my teenager's need for maintenance medication for his asthma. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bassetti to others with questions re: pulmonary issues or sleep disorders. Interested in making sure I understood some basic terms by pediatrician had never explained to me.
