Aging is a process and one that many do not plan or prepare.
The goal for many seniors and their family members is to remain in their home, independent the custom care they need in the setting of their choice for as long as possible.
Many family caregivers are not familiar with the resources or how to maneuver the health care delivery system. Many do not know what steps to take to protect their assets.
Family care givers do not realize that for every year that they provide care for their family member, it may affect their own financial income by as much as 75% per year.
I assist, support, and educate aging seniors and family caregivers on how to remain at home, independently as long as possible. I work with family care givers to find resources, hold family meetings and do assessments and make recommendations.

Experience & Qualifications

I am a registered nurse with over 36 years experience in a variety of different settings from orthopedics/rehabilitation nursing, home care, discharge planning, case management, oncology, hospice, senior behavior health, assisted living and long term care.
I have a passion to help people plan for their long term care needs. This includes helping families plan for future care needs as well as crisis management My goal is to assist an aging senior and their family to develop a plan that allows an individual to remain home safely and comfortably, in the least restrictive environment, regardless of age, income or ability level. If an individual wants to call their house a home for a lifetime, and I, with the help of family members and community support, can make that happen, I want to help make that goal a reality. www.aginghomehealthcare.com was established to assist others to accomplish that goal.
