Pre-Medical (F-Sc); I achieved Gold Medal & Presidential award of Honor at this standard.
Under-Graduate (M.B.B.S.) I obtained this degree from one of the best medical collages of the country, with Gold Medals in different subjects like Biochemistry and Forensic Medicine. Also I obtained Certificates of Distinction in the subjects of Pathology and Physiology
Internship/House Job; I completed my internship training at a tertiary care, teaching hospital which included basic training in the subjects of Medicine and Surgery.
Post Graduate Training; I underwent extensive post-graduate training at one of the best teaching center of the country. The training included work in different specialties of Internal Medicine including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Intensive Care Medicine, Rheumatology, Oncology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Geriatrics and Medical Education. Training in each of these specialties included dealing with emergencies, managing outpatients, carrying ward rounds, performing interventional procedures and medical teaching in the clinics and wards. At successful completion of this training, I was awarded the highest degree of Internal Medicine available in the country i.e. FCPS.
Moreover I attended various workshops and seminars during this period. These included Workshops on Medical Ethics, Research Methodology & Medical writing, Communication Skills and Workshop on e-medicine. I have attended various courses in the field of emergency medicine like BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). My research work included article on prevalence of Hepatitis C Virus infection, which was published in one of the indexed journals of the country. I have a long list of seminars conducted on the common topics of general medicine like Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma, Stroke and so on. I have keen interest in medical teaching and have a vast experience of teaching, both at under and post graduate level. My Post Graduate Qualifications include MCPS, FCPS (Medicine). I'm a registered medical practitioner in Pakistan (RTMC Reg No; 9388-N) as well as United Kingdom (GMC Reg No; 6092925).My future plans are to continue my profession as a Consultant Physician, while obtaining higher qualifications in Pulmonology and Critical care. I also intends doing Masters in Medical Education.
