My Expert Service

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Counselor, I have over twenty years of experience working with parents, pre-adolescents and adolescents on educational, social, emotional, behavioral, personal, and family problems/issues. Together in our counseling sessions you will learn as a parent, how to regain control of your children and stabilize your family life, cope with all the ups and downs of pre-adolescent and full-blown adolescent behavior, emotions, attitudes, and social situations. Through our sessions, you will learn to set fair rules, be consistent, stop enabling your child(ren), learn how to connect with your adolescent child, decide what is "normal" and "abnormal" behavior for your child. I will give you the tools to help your child(ren) successfully avoid and/or deal with peer pressure, bullying, teasing, drugs and alcohol, and all the other inner worries adolescents have. As a school Counselor, I help parents with questions regarding their child(ren's) education, such as how to have open communication and a partnership with school personnel, how to seek special education or 504 evaluations, services, and accommodations, how to find the right school and/or program for their child(ren).I counsel with single parents, two parent families, grandparents raising grandchildren, and gay parents raising pre-adolescent and full-blown adolescent children with the unique issues they may have in their family.
