I am an Italian biologist working at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. My academic preparation is focused on biotechnology (Masters level), Maths/Informatics applied to biology (Bioinformatics, Masters level), and Immunology/Gene therapy (PhD level). I graduated in all these disciplines summa cum laude. I have a deep knowledge in biology, statistics (especially applied to analysis of biological datasets), and swritten/oral scientific communication.
My preparation in scientific writing is demonstrated by the publication of more than 10 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. I also currently review manuscripts for top-tier journals such as Nature, Immunity and the Journal of Experimental Medicine. I personally wrote/collaborated writing 10 grant proposals.
I built a strong experience in preparing and giving scientific talks of outstanding quality, which I presented at 13 international congresses and in endless occasions at my workplace. I master using PowerPoint to create appealing and clear audio-visual support to the speech, and exploit a variety of techniques to deliver concepts in the most effective way.
So far, I have tutored 5 PhD students for the preparation of their own papers or speeches.
