I provide advice on learning strategies for special needs and general education students who are having difficulty progressing in an academic area.
I can develop a specific program that parents can use at home to meet these needs.
I can act as a parent advocate by giving suggestions, as to what to say and ask for, when parents attend IEP meetings for their special needs student.

Experience & Qualifications

I have worked in the field of education since 1973. I am a certified educator in the state of Oregon. I have taught both general education and special education classes,spanning grades kindergarten through 12.
I have worked as a school district administrator for 15 of those years, with primary responsibilities in the areas of Special Education/IDEA, Title I/disadvantaged, Reading First, and English Language Learners.
I currently teach a Master's level class in Special Education at a private university in Oregon.
