In a society that's financial system and jobless rate depend on the success of small business, I have developed a passion for finding solutions for small business owners and managers.
My first area of interest is in the hiring and retention of quality personnel as this is the backbone for success in any small organization. Most small business owners gain a new found respect for the recruitment process after getting burned a few times! In addition, the difficulties of retaining quality individuals and finding the correct function of compensation/benefits and other incentives is highly complex in today's competitive market. I place emphasis on creativity, adaptability, and appropriateness when it comes to both of these issues.
My second area of focus is on the successful development and implementation of a growth-related strategy for the small business organization. Growth is an incredibly difficult thing. Done incorrectly, a company can actually end up suffering (or even failing!) as a result of its success. Healthy growth is dependent on effective resource and financial planning. In addition, the creation of an effective strategy for this growth is essential. Every organizational strategy should be tailored specifically for that company, taking into consideration the numerous internal and external factors the organization is dependent upon. My belief is that preparation and quality of strategic development are key to success. In the words of famous Boxer Mike Tyson, "Everyone has a strategy until they get punched in the mouth!"

While currently teaching at a AACSB accredited business school in the United States, I still enjoy hands on interaction with practitioners. I have worked with two main organizations in the past 4 years, but have recently decided to become more involved in this part of my career.
Note: My mode of communication is email or LIVE Chat given my erratic schedule. However, I do type close to 70 words per minute so I will try to be as efficient with your time and money as possible!
