Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and completed coursework and internship for Specialized Postdoctoral Certificate in Clinical Child Psychology. Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (IBCC). Postgraduate certificate in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling.

Experience, training and education equips me as a counselor with compassion, utilizing various approaches and to counsel individuals through various issues (depression, anxiety, addictions, sex offenses, attachment and trauma) and life circumstances. Counseling to deal with present issues as well as identifying how a person may have arrived at this point and discover patterns that have been in existence a long time that one may not be aware of today. Emphasis is focused on strengths rather than on shortcomings and weaknesses. As a caring and compassionate counselor, I strive to serve by 'walking through life's journey with you'.

In private practice 9+ years, with 20+ years in prior clinical experience for various clinics, community counseling, hotline, and Christian counseling centers. I have been blessed by the opportunities to serve on local boards such as for a homeless shelter, a youth at-risk program helping with grant writing and strategic planning for the future and our local ministerial association with developing Bylaws and moving forward with incorporating to protect the organization's future. In the past, I served on an educational committee proposing an arts curriculum for the first time ever in the 1990's for our county, chaired a committee on redeveloping a program/school's mission statement at a Christian University and supporting extraordinary efforts of others in my community. In addition to experience with ages ranging from 3 to 75, and with varied issues, I started a career in the Arts, then due to a complicated injury my 'course' was changed and then pursued a Masters Degree and eventually the door was opened to attend a Christian University for the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. Currently, I hold a license as counselor in the state that I practice, a National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (Int'l Board of Christian Counselors). I received an honorary Doctor of Ministry, serve as an ordained minister in ministry in my community and completed basic training as Mediator with plans to complete child custody/family mediation training. Most recently, completed training curriculum for Clinical Trauma Professional Program with the Int'l Association of Trauma Professionals toward certification. I welcome the opportunity to put my training and experience to work to help you.
