BIO-TECH AND HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
Presently working for a bio-tech company in US, my responsibilities:
•Evaluate patentability of new inventions in the areas of biotechnology & biological sciences.
•Work with a team of 4-5, to provide a wide array of services, including but not limited to IP, strategic advice on regulatory approvals, material transfer, business plans, angel investing, and stock based compensation plans.
•Worked on a NIH project; secured the client from a potential IP infringement with an extensive research on the peptide involved.
As a teacher for secondary school:
•Taught Biology & Environmental Sciences(Theory/Lab) to grades 10, 11 and 12 students.
•Guided the students on projects for participation in an inter-collegiate science competition.
•Successfully led the school team to win the 1st prize amongst 16 participating schools in an inter-school science competition.Some of the projects entered for the competition include:
(1) Model presentation of a study on inducing mutation in the genetic code of mosquito to combat fevers like malaria and dengue; (2) Conservation of natural energy resources;
(3) Making eco-friendly home.
As a registered physician:
•Consulted an average of 10 new and 40 plus repeat patients every week.
•Efficiently attended and treated patients for both acute and chronic ailments.
•Successfully managed the overall operations of a private clinic.
As an undergraduate advisor in US,
•Counseled 30+ undergraduate freshmen and transfer students.
•Guided and advised students to select courses congruent with their long-term career goals.
