Hi, I am santam a 27 year old medical student from Chandigarh, India. Presently I am pursuing my MD in Radiation Oncology from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh - One of the most premiere medical institutes in India. In addition ot medicine I am interested in several extracurricular activities the most important being playing cricket and chess. I am not a very good player in either (lol), but to me participation and team spirit are more important. My hobbies include reading books, surfing the net, hanging out with my friends (I have a fairly large circle), watching T.V. (mainly Discovery channel, National Geographic and Cartoon Network) etc. Being an aquarian I am also very interested in getting to know about other people. I have a wide variety of interests but my favourite books are science fiction books. I am also into History, Geography, Geology, Astronomy, Astrology, Sociology, Contemporary Literature, comedy etc. Actually as far as books are concerned nothing is taboo for me. I am also a avid surfer and I usually surf the net for 3-4 hrs/day and so I am by now and expert in finding out information from the net. I am proficient in 3 languages - English, Hindi and Bengali. My motto for Kasamba is the delivery of correct answers on time. You can expect that all my answers will be extensively researched and documented. A look at my grades will convince you on this aspect. I deal with each answer on its own merit and not on the basis of the price offered. After 5 yrs hospital trainig in Medical College Calcutta in the many disciplines of medicines during my MBBS, I have undergone 2 yrs training in Surgery with special emphasis in Oncosurgery in Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata. At present I am pursuing my MD in radiation Oncology In PGIMER , Chandigarh - one of the most prestigious institutions of India.

The session with Dr Chakraborty was helpful - though there was a lot of information in his session that I had actually read from a medical site concerning this syndrome. But I appreciated the information being put into one place in order for me to print off.
