Presently i am working as a DBT Postdoctoral fellow in Molecular Biophysics Unit of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.I am performing high-end molecular dynamics simulations of nucleic acid structures using a semi-empirical method to obtain better insights into structural variables and protein-nucleic acid interactions. Molecular dynamics (MD) is a form of computer simulation in which atoms and molecules are allowed to interact for a period of time by approximations of known physics, giving a view of the motion of the atoms. Semi-empirical methods are based on the quantum mechanical (QM) formalisms, but make many approximations and obtain some parameters from empirical data.
