Experience & Qualifications

- Designed and implemented an entire system developed with Cold Fusion with a SQL Server 2000 backend. This system was for a manufacturing company and it was designed to manage inventory, contacts, invoicing, ordering, machine monitoring, and shipping/receiving. I had an integrated security system and also used Crystal Reports for all printed output.
- While working for a consulting firm, I served as DBA for many SQL Server 2000 installations on and off-site. Many required 24/7 operation and automated backups with little or no client intervention.
- Assisted development of an enterprise wide Visual FoxPro application with a SQL Server 2000 backend. My primary responsibility was to design and implement the database server installation including Merge Replication to keep the database current across the enterprise (5 sites).
- While working for a computer consulting firm, I was the primary SQL Server person that was called upon when any client had problems or questions regarding SQL Server. Went to client sites to recover SQL Server databases that were damaged. These included recovering SQL Server versions 6.5, 7.0, and 2000 databases.
- Developed backup and recovery stored procedure that would make recovering the databases quickly in the event of a problem. Also developed an integrity checking stored procedure to constantly keep the databases performing at peak performance. I have used the integrity checker as a preventative on multiple databases to recover databases that were damaged.
- Installed and administered network server software including Windows NT 4.0, 2000 Server, 2003 Server, IIS, SQL Server 7, Exchange Server, and DNS. Also years of experience installing and maintaining user installations of Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, 98SE, NT 4.0 Workstation, 2000 Professional, XP, and XP Professional and associated software.
- Created a T-SQL coding standard for a client and developed Stored Procedures based on that standard. Created and maintained DTS Packages and Jobs for uploading data to and from legacy (Foxpro 2.6) systems.
- Created a search tool for a client in Cold Fusion. It is for customers to use over the internet that will search for products based on different product criteria. This tool performs simple to advanced searches and is used by customers when placing orders online.
- Designed and developed an application framework in Cold Fusion for a client. It was designed to replace older FoxPro 2.6 applications. This framework contains a security system and data dictionary and is integrated tightly with SQL Sever. With this framework I designed and created a replacement for a pivotal inventory system for that client. This system is used by nearly all systems in the company. I also created the DTS packages that automatically replicates data from SQL Server to the FoxPro 2.6 tables on the network.
- Designed and Implemented network server hardware including building servers from the ground up, installing twisted-pair and fiber optical cable, hubs, switches, NICs, wireless bridges, and routers.
- Over 20 years experience building and repairing all types of computers, HP, Compaq, Dell, etc for personal users to blade and rack servers.
