Wondering about how home schooling really works? Trying to decide if it might be a good fit for you and your child? Eight years ago, our local public school wasn’t meeting the needs of our kids, so we began our journey outside the public school system, as secular, intellectually-inquisitive home schoolers.
Since then, I have shared what I’ve learned with hundreds of other parents -- some home schooling, some thinking about it, some just looking for ideas for after-school educational enrichment.
If you are considering home schooling, I can provide insight and perspective on what is actually involved in home schooling. I can also help you work through the tradeoffs to decide if home schooling might, or might not, be a good option for you and your family.
If you are already home schooling or are interested in ideas to enrich your child’s education, I can help point you in the direction of engaging curriculum resources and unique learning opportunities. I’d love to share with you the educational gems I’ve found along the way.
Finally, if you are a new or struggling home schooler, I can help mentor you as you find your way. There is no one “right” or “best” way to home school, but with tens of thousands of hours spent on home schooling, I have a lot of been-there-done-that experience to share.
