I earned my bachelors of psychology, biology, chemistry, and neuroscience at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. I am now a doctoral candidate in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Mississippi. Also, I am an instructor of pharmacology, anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, and immunology at the University of Mississippi.

I can also help you take a more active role in your treatment by giving you tips for talking to your doctor about your medical condition and your treatment plan.

Experience & Qualifications

Professionally, I have two primary appointments - teaching and research. For teaching, I train the pharmacists and doctors of tomorrow in the areas of physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology. As for my research, I am currently working with an in vitro model of stroke - specifically excitotoxicity/penumbra formation - studying the molecular mechanisms of neuronal death after stroke, as well as developing a pharmacological target to decrease neuronal cell death after a stroke.

Mr. Bourassa was extremely helpful and provided far more time and attention that I would expect. He replied extremely promptly too, and I wrote him several times throughout the night until my issue was resolved. I asked several doctors and pharmacists the same questions and did not get satisfactory answers. Thank you

Erick is AMAZING - a GENIUS! He is very patient and if there is something that you don't understand, he will take the time to explain and clarify things until you understand. He is very nice and a pleasure to work with. He is the BEST EXPERT and I can always count on him. He is great and as always comes highly recommended! I highly recommend Erick! Not only is he very intelligent, he is also very polite and quick to respond. He was very busy, but when I explained my situation he was able to make time to help me too! You can really count on Erick and I am greatly looking forward to working with him again in the very near future. He is the BEST Expert on Kasamba and I am very happy that I choose him! : )
