Errol Yudko, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. His research interests include: Compulsive Behavior (Substance Abuse, Overweight, and Sexual Behavior), Substance Abuse Prevention, Distance Education, & Psychopharmacology.
Dr. Yudko received a BA in biological sciences from the University of California at Irvine, and both MA and PhD degrees in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Yudko’s post-doctoral research was spent in the Laboratory of Psychopharmacology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. As a student, Dr. Yudko worked as a research assistant for the Center for Memory and Learning at the University of California Irvine, research pharmacologist for the Department of Cognitive Neuroscience for Wyeth Research in the UK, and as an ethopharmacologist for the Pacific Biomedical Research Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Dr. Yudko is the lead athor of the book Methamphetamine: Clinical and Forensic Aspects. He has also authored, or co-authored, numerous professional publications in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Yudko is an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Studies on Alcohol, Addictive Behavior, and Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment.
Over the past 10 years Dr. Yudko has taught courses in statistics, research methods, substance abuse counseling, health psychology, memory and learning, physiological psychology, and psychopharmacology.
