In charge of supporting 500 server cluster running in San Francisco, Germany and Korea. Part of a game launch team, working in a fast pace environment with heavy emphasis on open source products as well as Windows Server operating system.
Prior to that finished a successful transition of the T2 trading system for the Wall street trading firm. Led a team of junior admins in the project consisting of redesign of the backend trading platform including purchase and installation new cisco backend switches and routers , to optimize trading experience, along with upgrade of 150 HP servers and redesign of Active directory. The project was finished 3 months earlier and the company was able to save $250,000 by implementing a system that was reliable and was design with future expansion in mind.
Prior to that worked as IT consultant, supporting most of Microsoft products, including Exchange , SQL server, Terminal services, network and print services in corporate networks. Clients ranged from Law firms to banks and manufacturing firms. Designed , implemented and supported a range of networks. Configured Active directory for up to 10,000 users , installed and supported cisco and sonicwall firewalls. Specialize in cisco switches and routers, Veritas backup solutions and anti virus and spyware protection. Setup ne servers along with desktops and laptops. Implemented corporate security designs.

Senior Network Engineer -EFS – Wall Street, New York City 08/2006- 10/2007
- Served in a capacity of a network/security engineer. Leading a team of 3 to perform daily maintenance tasks on the production trading network, consisting of 60 servers, 2 sites and 250 users on the trading floor.
- Maintenance of 100 windows servers , including active directory and 250 users on the local and remote network. Performed hardware replacement and participated in picking out new hardware to buy. Trained the staff in performing weekly changes on the system.
- Implemented comprehensive disaster recovery procedures, had a chance to test them when SQL server crashed and indexes had to be rebuilt. No data loss resulted due to correct sequence of step taken, according to the designed plan. Veritas Backup Excec maintenance, use of Autoloader tape libraries, implemented Cisco and Quantum data de-duplication solution, reducing backup time by 45%, and improving data reliability by 30%.
- In the past year lead a migration of the core network components to the newer platform. Replaced a core , Cisco 4006 network switch and optimized network traffic. Implemented Cisco pix firewall/ VPN solution for the traders. Replaced edge router with a newer model.
- Supported Solaris 10.0 servers running analytical models for the floor traders. Familiar with basic syntax and commands, wrote scripts to optimize performance. Familiar with windows scripting host and vbscript.
- Migrated to Exchange 2007 platform from exchange 2003. Setup edge transport and Hub Transport roles in a front-end / back-end configuration, running on Dell 64-bit servers. Setup mobile access to Blackberry and Windows mobile devices. Setup I-Phones to run on IMAP4.
- Participated in design and rollout of Iscsi technologies, that are being utilized within a SAN. Solution allowed fast data transfer over TCP/IP, implemented Unity call manager utilizing VoIP.
- Designed the network for the secondary failover site, that could handle production load. Used various network monitoring tools to tweak switch and router performance.
- Came up with a detailed plan , outlining and executing company move to another office.
- Built a testing network, assisted developers in testing new patches and major code releases. Installed Source code server to keep up with version changes.
- Implemented comprehensive tape backup solution using autoloader and Backup Exec.
- Implemented Network Load Balancing using Windows server 2003 native tools. The load balancing is currently being used for all of the gateway and web server systems. Using this system I was able to provide redundancy and performance improvement for the web servers and gateways.
- Worked directly with vendors and customers to establish outside connectivity and resolve any of the server/ network issues. Worked closely with upper management to correct any customer complaints. Worked on upgrading corporate antivirus solution.
