I was a state tax auditor for 8 years. I audited state sales and use, alcohol, mining, and payroll taxes. I was then a tax supervisor for 1 year.
I was an internal revenue agent for over 3 years. During that time, I examined the returns of individuals, sole proprietors and mid-sized corporations. I also coordinated investigations of suspicious tax preparers.
I have been a certified public accountant since 1997. I performing business consulting, financial audits, bookkeeping, and tax preparation, and prepared full-disclosure business and personal financial statements for individuals, sole proprietors, non-profit organizations and corporations for 10 years.
I owned and operated my CPA firm for almost 7 years. I performed bookkeeping; trained clients on using Quickbooks and Quicken; prepared federal and state income, sales/use, and payroll tax returns; prepared full-disclosure business and personal financial statements; and advised entrepreneurs on accounting and financial management matters.
I have taught accounting and taxation at colleges, and I have tutored accounting and finance students and advised accountants regarding operational issues for over three years.
