Ever since I was 14 my grandma taught me how to crochet with single crochet, and double crochet. I have taught myself how to make blankets, potholders, scarves, gloves socks and barbie blankets. I have made 3 full sized blankets, a receiving blanket, 3 scarves, an oven mitt, and about a dozen barbie blankets. I am currently in the process of making a 7'X 5' red and white striped blanket. I have taught 3 different people how to crochet with different yarns and types of stitching. I can give advice and or instructions on how to crochet for beginners and different patterns that people can use.

Like i said before I have made a lot of different types of blankets and clothing. I am glad my grandma taught me because it reduces stress, it gives you something to do in your spare time, and it can build your hand-eye coordination. After a while you will get to the point where you can be focusing on other things without looking at what you are doing. For being an adult male when it comes to winter I don't care if others judge me for doing "woman's" work because in the end I am making something that will keep me warm in the harsh winters.
